Clifton High is a forward looking school set in beautiful surroundings. Founded in the 19th century by male and female visionaries with a belief in instilling in young people the value of education for life, Clifton High School has grown to be one of the leading schools in the South West, providing an excellent and unique education for boys and girls aged 3 to 18.

Fully co-educational from Nursery, through the Early Years, Junior and Senior years and on into Sixth Form, CHS is the only school in the South West to follow the highly successful Diamond Edge Model for separate teaching in certain subjects for Years 7-9.

Visitors frequently express how special and warm a place Clifton High School is and they recognise how full of laughter and productivity the classrooms, corridors and social areas are as they walk around the school. Parents comment on the excellent relationships between staff and pupils - relaxed but always respectful. The rapport, encouragement and support available to every single child, pupil and student create an atmosphere where your child can develop happily and successfully.

In its second century of educating young people, Clifton High School continues to reflect the spirit of its founders and supporters. They were men and women of vision who sought to provide the very best for their pupils. Small class sizes, dedicated pastoral care, attention and encouragement for the individual along with a myriad of extra-curricular opportunities make Clifton High School an excellent option.

Change is a constant in a vibrant community. CHS pupils are encouraged to believe in themselves, continually reflect, move forward and embrace challenge with a sense of excitement. It is the CHS belief that with the privilege of an excellent education comes responsibility, and young people are taught to respect those less fortunate than themselves, think for themselves and to strive to make a difference. Their generosity and service both within the school and the wider community continue long after they have left us. CHS aims to develop well-educated, principled and successful young people who strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives while they discover their own talents and interests, whether academic, sporting, artistic or in performance.

Visit their website for a glimpse into life at Clifton High School and the education they can provide for your child. Do go and visit; meet pupils, teachers and staff; they look forward to showing you around.
